PETOL 56 - 3

Description:

PETOL 56 - 3 is a 3000 molecular weight polyether triol based on glycerin and propylene oxide.

PETOL 56 - 3 contains only secondary hydroxyl groups having a slow controlled reactivity.

Applications: PETOL 56 - 3 is used for slabstock flexible foams obtained by continuous or by box process.

Packaging: PETOL 56 - 3 is available in stainless steel railway tanks or tank trucks, or in 220 l tin plate drums. 215 kGgnet new drums, 80 drums = 17.20 MT per 20' FCL

Handling: Polyether polyols are stable, non-corrosive and high flash point materials. Polyols are hygroscopic. The tank and drums containing polyethers need a good tightness and should be blanketed with dry air or nitrogen to eliminate water pickup during storage. Polyols are stabilised against oxidation for normal shipping, storage and use in urethane applications.

Polyols are flammable and present a fire hazard. Care is recommanded in handling them to avoid spillage.

Persons employed to handle polyols (PETOL products) should be instructed with respect to hazard ans disposal.
Suitable protective equipment should be worn.
Disposal: Spillages should be retained by absorbing onto sand, earth or other inert material and then sweped up to sealable drum for disposal according to local regulations.

APPLICATIONS:

PETOL 48 - 3 MB is used for slabstock foams obtained by continuous foaming or by box preocess, including soft and supersoft flexible foams.

PACKAGING - STORAGE:

Polyethers are packed in stainles steel or coated railway or road tanks, being supplier or beneficiary property.

Polyethers being hygroscopic products should be stored in well tight tanks, and should be blanked with nitrogen at 20 - 30ºC.

SAFETY MEASURES:

Personel handling the product should be provided with the protection equipment boots, apron and rubber gloves.
